Congratulations to Professor Gary Egan and his team at Monash University, who on 30 May 2012, officially launched Monash Biomedical Imaging (MBI).
An internationally unique facility which expands Victoria’s capabilities in biomedical imaging and research, MBI was officially opened by Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher with dignitaries including the Monash University Vice Chancellor, Professor Ed Byrne, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Professor Christina Mitchell.
Ms Asher said the opening of MBI also marked the establishment of the Monash link of the Victorian Biomedical Imaging Capability (VBIC) – a collaboration between Monash University, Swinburne University, The University of Melbourne and the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
